AWESOME JOB to everyone who took a stab at Open WOD 19.1 today!! We had 35 score sheets accumulated at the end of the day, plus everyone else who completed the workout without a judge (just for fun!). We had a handful of people register for the Open today so I've added them to our intramural teams. Please see the updated teams below!

Saturday Feb. 23, 2019

 

BEAST Bootcamp:

7-7:45am - #45: 45 minute heavy weight class which may vary between partner workouts, 1 minute max burnout, exercise elimination, and reps for time in a BA-BOOM fashion!

7:45-8:30am - Boot Camp: A total body work out going back to that old "Boot Camp" style. This class is appropriate for all levels, and the trainer will show modifications when needed! As with all our classes, you can expect a new class routine each week!

 

Unloaded WOD (9am)

 

TEAM WOD:

In teams of 3, with 1 partner working at a time while another team mate completes a 400m Run, complete the following:

 

Teams of 3:

60 Calories

30 Box Jumps 20/24

15 Rounds of Cindy

30 Box Jumps 20/24

60 Calories

 

**One teammate will be running 400m at all times. You must alternate which teammate is running. While the one teammate is running, the other 2 teammates are completing the above movements in order with only 1 person working at a time.

 

Score = total time

 

*This can also be done as a partner WOD with 1 partner running while the other accumulates reps. For the partner version, change to 40-20-10-20-40

 

Post-WOD:

Make plank hold!

 

 

CrossFit (10am)

Strength:

Another challenging complex to stick with our barbell cycling theme! You will have 15-20 minutes to build to a heavy set. Start light and build slowly.

 

Need motivation? Watch Dmitry Klokov perform the following complex at 450lbs…ridiculous.

 

 

Dmitry’s Complex:

Clean pull

Squat Clean

Paused front squat

Push press

Paused jerk (pause in dip)

 

WOD:

Grab a partner!

Complete the following for time with a partner, and only 1 person working at a time:

50-40-30:

KB Swings 53/70

Box Jumps 20/24

Cash-out: 60 calories
